Ever since I stumbled upon the raw cacao fruit in the rainforest of Talamanca back in 2009 I have been fascinated with chocolate. I started making chocolate and "infotaining" visitors to Costa Rica in 2010, and the pure joy of sharing the wonders of cacao with our guests is a driving force for me.
Few others have the luxury we enjoy - we grow and harvest our own organic cacao! We are in charge of everything from the seed of the tree to the final product. Thorough post-harvest processing delivers an outstanding quality of cacao from the local hybrids and well-known clones we grow on our "Blue Valley" property in northern Costa Rica.
We like the purist's approach. Our dark chocolates are made with just two ingredients: Our own organic cacao and organic cane sugar - nothing else! This highlights the pure cacao and gives you an intense experience when the smooth chocolate melts in your mouth - swing by for a free tasting experience!
Our interactive and educational workshops are very popular and sometimes they fill up fast. We host a weekly workshop Saturday mornings 9.30 am (starting September 2021), but in case you would like to come at a different day and time we will be happy to accomodate you if we can.
